Measuring functions
The measuring tool offers the following measuring functions:
Measurement of alternating current
Measurement of resistance
Continuity test
Measurement of alternating voltage
Measurement of direct voltage
- Use for measurements always the proper input terminals, switch position and measuring range.
- Check the test leads for continuity before use. Do not use if the readings are high or noisy.
- Keep your fingers behind the finger guards while using the test leads.
- Turn the rotary switch (3) to the position in the figure.
When Using Test Leads:
- Connect test leads (10) and (9) as shown in the figure.
- Contact the test points with the test probes.
- The measured value is shown on the display (1).
When Using the Measuring Clamp:
- Push the lever (2) to open the measuring clamp (5).
- Enclose the cable to be measured with the measuring clamp (5) and close the measuring clamp by releasing the lever (2).
- The measured value is shown on the display (1).
- Keep your fingers behind the finger guard when using the measuring clamp.
- Do not take any measurements if the open-circuit potential to earth is more than 600 V.
- Take the measurement with the measuring clamp see Measuring functions.
- Take the measurement with the test leads see Measuring Process.
- Take the measurement with the test leads see Measuring Process.
- If the continuity test is successful, a continuous tone is output.
- Take the measurement with the test leads see Measuring Process.
