Starting Operation

  • Before starting operation, check that the upper protective guard (17) is engaged in the starting position. The starting position is reached when the hook (32) is engaged in the bar (31). Otherwise, the diamond cutting discs may touch the workpiece and you may lose control of the power tool when switching it on.
  • Check the diamond cutting disc before using it. The diamond cutting disc must be fitted properly and be able to rotate freely. Carry out a test run for at least one minute with no load. Do not use diamond cutting discs that are damaged, run untrue or vibrate during use. Damaged diamond cutting discs can burst apart and cause injuries.

To switch on the power tool, pull down the flipper (7) and push and hold the on/off switch (6). Let go of the flipper (7).

To switch off the power tool, release the on/off switch (6).

The running direction of the power tool is towards the front handle. This is also indicated by arrows (33) on the base plate.

When operating the power tool, always hold it with both hands on the intended gripping surfaces.

The power tool is fitted with an electronic run-out brake. When the power tool is switched off or the power supply is interrupted, the application tool is brought to a complete stop within a few seconds.

The electronic soft start limits the torque when the power tool is switched on and enables a smooth start-up.

Note: If the power tool runs at full speed immediately after being switched on, this means that the soft start and restart protection mechanisms have failed. The power tool must be sent to the after-sales service immediately; see the "After-Sales Service and Application Service" section for addresses.

The restart protection feature prevents the power tool from uncontrolled starting after the power supply to it has been interrupted.

To restart the tool, set the on/off switch (6) to the "off" position and then switch the power tool on again.
