Charging External Devices Via the USB Port

The USB Type-C® port can be used to charge devices that can be powered via USB (e.g. various mobile phones). The maximum charging current is 1.5 A.

  1. Open the flap covering the connector compartment (17).
  2. Using a corresponding USB cable, connect the USB port of the external device to the USB Type-C® port (16) of the radio.
External devices can only be charged when the radio being operated by battery and is switched on.
After removing the USB cable connector, reattach the flap of the connector compartment (17) to protect against dirt/debris.
