Starting Operation

Protect the measuring tool from moisture and direct sunlight.

Do not expose the measuring tool to any extreme temperatures or variations in temperature. For example, do not leave it in a car for extended periods of time. In case of large variations in temperature, allow the measuring tool to adjust to the ambient temperature before putting it into operation. The precision of the measuring tool may be compromised if exposed to extreme temperatures or variations in temperature.

Avoid substantial knocks to the measuring tool and avoid dropping it.

The measuring tool automatically switches on for testing.
The measuring tool automatically switches off after the L1 (2) and L2 (4) test probes have been removed from the test object.

Torch

Press the button to switch the torch on or off.

If the measuring tool is not used for approx. 5 min, the torch will automatically switch off.

Buttons for testing an RCD

Pressing and holding both buttons can trigger an intact RCD during the measurement.

You can remove the L1 handle (1) from the L2 display handle (7).
For measurements in plug sockets, you can connect the L1 handle to the L2 display handle.

For self-testing, pull the L1 (1) and the L2 (7) handles apart and hold the L1 (2) and L2 (4) test probes together for three seconds before disconnecting them again.
After 3 seconds, all indicators light up, an audio signal sounds and the measuring tool vibrates.
The self-test can also be performed by pressing both buttons to test an RCD for 3 seconds and then releasing them.
