At 137 mm, the new Bosch Cordless Impact Driver GDR 10,8-LI Professional with Premium lithium-ion technology has the shortest design in the 10.8-volt class. This compact tool with its powerful torque of 105 Nm is especially impressive when used in hard-to-reach work areas like tight spaces or overhead. This power is enough for 80 percent of all conventional cordless impact driver applications in metal and concrete – and this is achieved without annoying recoil. The high speed of 2,600 rpm ensures rapid work progress. Moreover, this small, powerful tool from Bosch weighs only 960 grams and sits particularly comfortably in your hand.
The Bosch GDR 10,8-LI Professional is especially suitable for metalworking and for fitting heating and ventilation systems. Its advantages make work easier for air conditioning fitters and electricians, but also for machine builders or carpenters. Applications such as driving self-tapping metal screws on ventilation pipes or fitting heating pipes on concrete walls are done quickly and safely. But this cordless screwdriver from Bosch is also very well equipped to drive wood screws up to 8 mm or to tighten machine screws (4M to 12M). Its lockable ¼" hex toolholder enables quick and easy clamping of screwdriver bits and drill bits. The tool can therefore also be used, for example, to drill into sheet metal with a holesaw up to 33 mm in diameter.
The charge level indicator of this cordless tool enables the professional to reliably check how much energy is currently left in the battery, which is a requirement for continuous work. The other advantages of the Bosch GDR 10,8-LI Professional include the hand strap, which provides additional safety when working on scaffolds or ladders, for example, and an integrated luminous ring with three LEDs, which provides an optimum view of the work area. Especially when driving a row of screws, the motor brake of the cordless impact driver is an advantage in ensuring the quality of the screw connections.
Bosch Premium lithium-ion technology with long lifetime
The long lifetime of the Bosch Premium batteries is thanks to the Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) from Bosch. It reliably protects the battery against overload, overheating and total discharge. Bosch supplies the Cordless Impact Driver GDR 10,8-LI Professional with a 45-minute quick charger as standard. Thanks to the “Hyper-Charge” technology from Bosch, the batteries are charged to 75 percent after only half of the charge time. There is also no memory effect and the batteries are fully ready for use, even if they have not been used for months.
L-Boxx: The superior transport and storage system
The Bosch GDR 10,8-LI Professional is available in the L-Boxx, the new Bosch packaging concept. Multiple power tools can be conveniently transported as required thanks to the easy system of clicking together and separating the different L-Boxxes. The L-Boxx can be freely configured to enable tidy storage of the tools, accessories and consumables. Moreover, the L-Boxx with its robust construction is designed to withstand extreme loads. Every single box can carry up to 25 kg. The click mechanism makes it possible to carry stacked L-Boxxes with a total weight of up to 40 kg. Its lid has a load-bearing capacity of up to 100 kg. This makes the L-Boxx more versatile than all other conventional carrying cases. The L-Boxx was developed in a joint cooperation between Bosch and Sortimo, the market leader for in-vehicle equipment.
